Onesie Marks, Get set Goooo.....

letourdefrance The Tour de France starts on Saturday! The Tour de France is an annual multiple stage bicycle race mainly held in France, but often passes through different countries. The race was first organised in 1903 to help increase sales of the L'Auto magazine, and has been held annually since then - except for when it stopped for the two World Wars. This year it's starting in Yorkshire, North East England. The race covers a total distance of 3,664km! The race is split into 21 stages - each stage passing through a different place or country. Throughout the 21 stages, there are 9 flat stages of terrain, 5 hill stages, 6 mountain stages and 5 altitude finishes, 1 individual time-trial stage and 2 rest days! There's also 9 NEW stage cities too; Leeds, Harrogate, York, Sheffield, Cambridge, Ypres, Oyonnax, Risoul, and Maubourguet Pays du Val d'Adour. Not to mention the 22 teams taking part! Beginning in Leeds, the riders will cycle through cities such as Harrogate, Sheffield, Londres, Ypres, Mulhouse, Chamrousse, Carcassonne, Hautacam, and Paris Champs Elyesees. It's a fab event!
